Potential Benefits of Nutrient and Sediment Practices to Reduce Toxic Contaminants in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Report 2: Removal of Toxic Contaminants from the Agriculture and Wastewater Sectors

Developed by the Chesapeake Stormwater Network for the Chesapeake Bay Program Toxic Contaminant Work Group, this technical report (2016) synthesizes research on how nutrient and sediment reduction BMPs may also reduce toxic contaminants in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. It helps state agencies, watershed practitioners, and researchers understand contaminant pathways and evaluate reductions associated with agricultural and wastewater sources, including herbicides, biogenic hormones, and antibiotics from croplands, animal operations, wastewater treatment, and biosolids application.
