Design Spec: Grass Channels, 2011

Developed by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, this design specification (Version 2, 2013) provides guidance on using grass channels as a stormwater conveyance practice that also filters runoff and reduces pollutant loads. It helps designers size and configure channels to slow flows, promote infiltration where feasible, and serve as a more sustainable alternative to conventional curb-and-gutter systems.
