Potential Benefits of Nutrient and Sediment Practices to Reduce Toxic Contaminants in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Part 1: Removal of Urban Toxic Contaminants

Developed by the Chesapeake Stormwater Network for the Chesapeake Bay Program Toxic Contaminant Work Group, this technical report (2015) synthesizes research on how stormwater best management practices used for nutrient and sediment control may also reduce urban toxic contaminants. It helps state and local practitioners, watershed managers, and researchers understand the removal of key urban pollutant groups through BMP implementation and evaluate their broader water quality benefits within the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
