Planting Trees for Water Quality: Guidance for Chesapeake Bay Communities

Developed by the Center for Watershed Protection, this technical report (2012) provides guidance for Chesapeake Bay communities to identify priority areas for tree planting and forest buffer restoration where water quality benefits are greatest. It helps planners, local governments, and watershed practitioners target restoration opportunities and estimate associated pollutant load reductions to support watershed planning and Chesapeake Bay TMDL implementation.
