Stream Restoration Forum: The Practice, the Protocols and Their Verification

The North Cypress Branch restoration established a diverse plant community and improved stream hydrology.

On June 4, 2018, the Chesapeake Bay Program’s Stream Health Workgroup and Urban Stormwater Workgroup held a joint meeting of practitioners, reviewers and regulators involved in stream restoration projects. Among the objectives, was the opportunity to share insights on best practices, and lay out the key technical and programmatic issues that need to be resolved to ensure high quality projects that produce reliable and verifiable pollutant reduction and biological uplift.
