Sponsor
With more than 6,000 stormwater professionals within our network, we have an expansive reach. However, our ability to deliver free and low-cost training and resources can only go so far. Generous sponsors like you make it possible to ensure our programs remain free and accessible to all of our network, furthering adoption of the latest stormwater science and techniques.

CUSP
CUSP provides students, early career professionals, and new staff or volunteers with the fundamental stormwater knowledge they need to advance their careers and their programs through a free training program.
Since its inception in 2022, over 400 participants have earned their CUSP certificates. In addition to online training, trainees participate in stormwater field trips, networking events, and our annual Stormwater Career Symposium.
BUBBAs
A bi-annual biennial competition that launched in 2014, the Best Urban BMP in the Bay Awards contest (BUBBAs) recognizes the best practices and programs being implemented in urban environments across the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
There are five categories local innovators can apply to and winners are selected based on innovation, transferability, and community engagement.
CUSP Sponsorships
Sponsoring CUSP provides an opportunity to support our Stormwater Career Symposium. At this event, held for the first time in 2025, participants hear from a variety of industry leaders about the stormwater profession and the skills necessary to succeed. We address different pathways to stormwater careers and connect attendees with prospective employers to learn about opportunities and experiences at their respective organizations. Throughout the day, there are networking opportunities as well as a chance to visit an example of stormwater innovation within our watershed — such as when we toured the National Aquarium’s Harbor Wetlands exhibit in 2025.
Our inaugural symposium agenda in 2025 hosted 60 participants and five organizations who exhibited tables, including Morgan State University, Biohabitats, CityScape Engineering, and the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. In 2026, we hope to expand our reach by rotating the event location and continuing to make the event free, engaging, and accessible.
