Recommendations of the Expert Panel to Define Removal Rates for Erosion and Sediment Control Practices_Long

This report (2014) prepared by the Chesapeake Stormwater Network and the Chesapeake Research Consortium, establishes updated methods for estimating sediment and nutrient reductions from erosion and sediment control (ESC) practices at construction sites. It recommends treating construction activity as a distinct BMP with tiered performance levels and revised modeling assumptions to better reflect modern ESC requirements and implementation conditions across the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
