Urban Subwatershed Restoration Manual 11: Unified Subwatershed and Site Reconnaissance

The Unified Subwatershed and Site Reconnaissance: A User’s Manual (February 2005) is Manual 11 in the Urban Subwatershed Restoration Manual (USRM) Series. Developed by the Center for Watershed Protection, it provides a rapid assessment framework for identifying pollution sources and restoration opportunities in upland areas of urban subwatersheds. It outlines four field-based components—neighborhood source assessment, hotspot site investigation, pervious area assessment, and streets and storm drain analysis—to support development of targeted subwatershed restoration strategies.
