Technical Report
Performance Enhancing Devices for Stormwater Best Management Practices: Final Report

Developed through a research synthesis led by the Chesapeake Stormwater Network and partners, this technical report (2017) evaluates the use of performance enhancing devices (PEDs) within stormwater best management practices such as bioretention and sand filters to improve pollutant removal efficiency. It helps state and local stormwater practitioners, modelers, and regulators assess the scientific basis for assigning additional nutrient removal credit and understand how PEDs may influence BMP performance and crediting approaches in watershed planning tools.
